Lighthouse Prep · Lumi

An AI study mentor that knows how you're really doing.

Lumi lives inside Lighthouse Prep. She can see your real study hours, your streak, your mock scores and the topics your revision has flagged as weak. She remembers what you tell her, and she talks to you in English, Hindi, Tamil, Hinglish or Tanglish.

A general chatbot doesn't know your week

Ask a general AI chatbot "am I ready for my exam?" and all it can do is guess, because it has never seen you study. Lumi answers from your actual record: how many hours you put in this week, how much of your planned time slipped away, how your last mock went and which topics keep coming back wrong in revision.

She's built as a mentor rather than a teacher. Her job is your plan, your consistency and your confidence. For explaining a topic, every session in the app has its own study material, with notes, deep dives, practice questions and a box for your doubts.

What Lumi can see

  • Your study record — today's hours, this week against last week, your streak, and how many days are left until your exam.
  • Where time is leaking — the gap between planned and studied time over the last week, from your wastage report.
  • Your mock tests — your latest score and, when you ask, how each section went.
  • Your revision — how many topics are due and which ones your revision has flagged as weak, by name.

She works from the numbers in your record rather than guessing. If you haven't started yet, she won't congratulate you on progress you haven't made.

She remembers you, and shows you what she remembers

Tell Lumi your exam, the subject you struggle with or the goal you're chasing, and she remembers it for weeks. After ten or more days of study she also starts noticing things you never typed, like a session you skip on most days or the part of the day you study best. She treats these as observations, not verdicts.

Tap the brain icon in the chat to see everything she remembers, sorted into groups, and forget any of it with one tap. Or just tell her: "forget that I'm preparing for SSC."

She checks in at the right moments

Lumi picks her moments: right after a session, when you've sounded worn out, when your exam is less than a week away, when you've gone quiet for a couple of days, or when you come back after a long break. A small dot on her button tells you she has something to say.

She never sends a push notification. Her check-ins wait until you open the app, and if you ignore the same kind twice, she backs off.

When a session gets missed

A missed session usually gets one of two responses: silence, or a daily nag. When Lumi notices you missed sessions yesterday that you'd normally have done, she asks one question, "What got in the way?", and works with your answer:

  • Too difficult — she explains it again, simply.
  • Not in the mood — she makes it interesting.
  • No time — she gives you an 8-minute version with only what can't be skipped.
  • Too tired — she cuts it down to the essentials.
  • "I'll do it later" — she leaves it with you and says nothing more.

She only asks when yesterday fell well below your own normal, never in your first week, and stays quiet for days after you answer. It doesn't turn into a daily lecture.

Yesterday's session, in two minutes

Study a session today and tomorrow Lumi can hand you a short recap of it: five points worth remembering, three questions that often get asked, and a two-minute summary. It's a quick look back that helps yesterday's work stick.

One tap from advice to action

When Lumi suggests something, she offers it as a button: start today's session, open its study material or revision, look at your wastage report, take a mock test or open your plan. Nothing happens until you tap. Ask her for a study plan and she opens the real plan builder instead of writing a plan into the chat.

She talks the way you talk

Lumi works out which language you're writing in (English, Tamil, Tanglish, Hindi or Hinglish) and replies in the same one. If your messages sound stressed or burnt out, she softens her tone and may suggest a lighter session instead of pushing harder.

If you'd rather talk out loud, Lumi Call is a live voice conversation with her in English, Tamil or Hindi. It unlocks with the Ultra or Elite credit pack, and call time comes from your AI credit balance.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lumi free?
Chatting with Lumi uses your AI credit balance, and everyone starts with 50,000 free credits. Free users have a gentle hourly limit on chat; Lighthouse Pro removes the limit and moves Lumi to a faster, smarter AI model. Her check-ins are free; your replies, the next-day recap and the shorter versions of a missed session use a little credit.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Sign in with Google to talk to Lumi, so what she remembers is tied to your account. You can try the rest of the app as a guest first.
Can Lumi answer subject doubts?
Lumi is built as a mentor: your plan, your consistency, your confidence. For explaining a topic, each session's study material has notes, deep dives, practice questions and an "Explain · ask a doubt" button on each concept card.
Which languages does Lumi speak?
In chat, English, Tamil, Tanglish, Hindi and Hinglish. She replies in whichever one you write in. Lumi Call, the voice version, speaks English, Tamil and Hindi.
Can I make Lumi forget something?
Yes. Tap the brain icon in the chat to see what she remembers and forget any item, or tell her in plain words what to forget.
Will Lumi spam me with notifications?
No. Lumi never sends push notifications. A dot on her button shows when she has something for you, and she backs off if you ignore the same kind of check-in twice.
Is what I tell Lumi private?
Your messages go to the AI service that writes her replies, as with any AI chat. Nothing you say to Lumi is shown to other students: not in the community, your study groups or anywhere else in the app.
