What Banking actually asks from current affairs

Banking General Awareness is not general at all. It is banking awareness: repo and reverse repo movements, RBI circulars, monetary policy decisions, mergers, insurance and capital-market news. Economy leads this page because it dominates the section.

Appointments matter more here than in any other exam on this list — who heads which bank, regulator or financial institution is a recurring, almost guaranteed question.

Recency is unusually strict. A fact from fourteen months ago is close to worthless for IBPS in a way it would not be for UPSC, so read this hub newest-first and do not treat the deep archive as equally valuable.

How far back to revise. Banking exams are strict about recency — the General Awareness section is built almost entirely from the last 6 months, and older material rarely appears.
